When it comes to Christmas, Estonians take pride in their festive food traditions. The Christmas buffet, known as JÕULULAUD, is a true highlight of the holiday season, featuring a variety of delicious dishes that showcase Estonia’s rich flavors. At MEKK Restaurant and Bar, we combine traditional tastes with modern culinary trends, offering a unique and memorable Christmas Dinner experience.
Join us for Christmas Dinner on December 24th from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, where a special atmosphere will be created by Christmas-themed piano music performed by Viktor-Kristjan Landberg.

MEKK mulled wine (alcohol or alcohol-free option)
COLD DISHES
Lightly salted salmon marinated with juniper berries and served with dill & mustard sauce
Baltic herring marinated in mustard / Baltic herring marinated in roasted tomato sauce
Hot-smoked salmon & egg salad with crispy anise bread
Duck terrine with onion jam and nut buns
Vegetables marinated in mustard / horseradish cream / pickled pumpkin
Venison baked pink with marinated chanterelles and cowberry salad
Salted mushroom & potato salad
WARM DISHES
Salmon baked with chives and nut butter
Roasted cauliflower / charred Jerusalem artichoke
Braised pork belly with spiced carrot caviar
Parsnip purée with mushrooms baked in butter
Duck leg confit
Potatoes roasted in duck fat
Broad beans baked with smoked ham and kale
Braised red cabbage with apple and cinnamon
Sauerkraut with crispy pork rind

Chocolate cheesecake with warm cherry sauce
Pears sautéed in port wine with Vana Tallinn cream and roasted almonds
